Independent Parliamentary candidate Louisa Buabeng, who is contesting the Effutu seat, has been remanded by the Winneba High Court on charges of conspiracy to commit a crime.
Buabeng was arrested after voter ID cards were allegedly discovered at the residence of her aide.
Buabeng, who was initially detained on November 20, was re-arrested on Wednesday evening and presented before the court the following morning.
Her aide is also facing charges of unlawful possession of documents related to the case.
The court has remanded Buabeng for four days, and she is scheduled to reappear before the court on Monday, December 1, 2024.
