The presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has stated in 2016 dumsor was solved and no one had their light go off.
John Mahama who was replying to comments made by President Akufo-Addo, stated Akufo-Addo knew dumsor was a generational problem, he revealed he did not shift the blame like how Akufo-Addo had been doing and accepted the responsibility to fix the problem and he did fix the problem.
Speaking on a campaign platform John Mahama stated, “I expect that when the NPP is telling lies they will live it to the younger ones, and the junior ones, to do, and when the senior ones like Nana Akufo-Addo say that Dumsor was not solved before we came, I heard him say that we could not keep the lights on how can we run a 24-hour economy”.
“In 2016, dumsor had been solved, nobody’s light went off in 2016, and nobody had load-shedding in 2016 that is on record go and look at GRIDCo records, go and look at ECG records nobody had load-shedding in 2016 and that is a fact”, he emphasized.
John Mahama further reiterated, “From January to December to the following January when we handed over to Nana Akufo-Addo, he should bear true testimony dumsor had been solved. If you lie you will not go to heaven at his age, he should be preparing his soul for heaven so he should stop lying”.
