Executive Director of the Alliance for Social Equity and Public Accountability (ASEPA) has raised concerns about the recent transfers of Immigration Service officers, predominantly Ewes, from the Volta Region.
In a social media post, he questioned the rationale behind the transfers, which appear to target areas like Aflao, Kulungugu, and Paga, seen as strongholds of the NDC.
He emphasized that these transfers are inconvenient, as many of the officers have already registered as special voters.
He is urging the Immigration Service to explain how they will ensure these officers are not disenfranchised, particularly those now relocated to different regions.
The ASEPA director also criticized the decision to carry out the transfers so close to the December 7 elections, calling for immediate clarification on the matter.
