Iniobong Edo, Nollywood actress, has refused all claims of her she getting married anytime soon.

According to her, marriage is no longer a priority in her life, and it’s not something she prays or hopes for at the moment.

Speaking in a recent interview with PREMIUM TIMES in Lagos, she said, “I’m not obsessed with marriage; I’m more focused on having a solid relationship. It’s not something I’m praying for or hoping for”.

In September, the actress generated significant buzz and speculation by sharing a photo of herself in a traditional Efik bridal outfit, leading many to believe she was announcing her wedding.

Her caption, which also reflected on love and encouraged others to maintain hope in finding happiness, only added to the rumors.

Ini Edo however clarified that the supposed wedding post was just a promotional teaser for her upcoming four-part series.

‘My Fairytale Wedding,’ which talks about a young woman who uses magic (Kayanmata) to capture the heart of Lagos’ most eligible bachelor.

The actress now 42-year-old, was previously married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina.

They got married on 29 November 2008 in the United States unfortunately their marriage ended in 2014.

In 2021, Ini welcomed her daughter through surrogacy using her own eggs.

She believes this was the perfect way to fulfill her dream of becoming a mother, and she is incredibly grateful to be raising her child.
