NABCO Trainees have threatened the ruling NPP government ahead of the 2024 elections.
According to a NABCO Nation Builders Group, they have indicated their preparedness to vote for the National Democratic Congress should the NPP government refuse to pay their 9 months’ arrears of Allawa by the end of November.
In a Facebook post by the NABCO Trainees, it reads, “If the Alawa doesn’t come this month p3 3y3 zu!!”
Information gathered revealed that some NABCO Trainees have received text messages indicating government preparedness to pay their 9-month arrears.
The text message reads, “Dear former CIG trainee, the system is ready for your module. Kindly upload your timesheet for Dec 2021 to Aug 2022 if you haven’t done so already by 30 Oct 2024”.
Meanwhile, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has challenged NPP flagbearer and vice president of Ghana Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to pay NABCO trainees their allowance arrears, if he truly intends to create jobs for the youth.
