The Speaker of Parliament Hon. Alban Bagbin has stated if it is him people don’t want, he will go to his village and relax.
According to Speaker Bagbin, followers matter, and they applauded Akufo-Addo when he said Ghanaians should be citizens and not spectators but today Ghanaians have become more spectators.
Speaking to the media he said, “Leadership I believe strongly is a cost, everything else is affected even though followers matter, and that is where in fact we applauded the effort of the President when in his inaugural speech he talked about we being citizens and not spectators, but today, Ghanaians are now more spectators than citizens, I think you have to wake up and become a citizen he called us to be, that is where I am moving towards”.
“I don’t have any ill will or malice I don’t have any ambition if it is Honorable Bagbin or whatever people don’t want please that one I can assure you I will go and relax and my only village is always there to welcome me, I don’t have any problem at all but ones I sit here I take the decision and I am responsible nobody else but me”, he added.
