President Akufo-Addo has responded to the NDC’s Presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama’ directive that he stays out of the campaign.
In an address to residents of the Ashanti Region, the President said he will not keep quiet today or tomorrow owing to the fact that he is also aside his status, a citizen of the country. His respond came on the back of John Mahama’s call that the election is between him and Bawumia and therefore the President needs to stay out of it.
According to President Akufo-Addo, the December 7 elections is a consequential one for the history of the country which demand that every one voice out their preferences and campaign for their choice of candidate. He stressed that it will appear irresponsible for anyone to keep quiet on the campaigns of their preferred candidates as the day gets nearer.
He further mentioned that wherever he gets the space to address a large gathering or people he will speak his mind on the election and why Ghanaians need to ensure that his and the NPP legacies his continued by voting for Dr. Bawumia.
