Roman Fada, the former running mate of the Ghana Freedom Party has shared that, he will not stop campaigning for the late Akua Donkor and will still vote for him.
The Founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party, Madam Akua Donkor passed away with 35 days to elections. His running mate was chosen by the party to contest in her stead but saw his nomination rejected by the Electoral Commission for errors in his filings.
The Electoral Commission refused to take off the party logo and image of Madam Akua Donkor from the printed ballot papers to avoid wastage of money and inconveniences and issued a directive afterwards stating that any vote in the Presidential race for Akua Donkor will be recorded as a rejected ballot.
In a reaction to the new directives by the Electoral Commission, the Roman Fada has firmly stated that, the party has four Parliamentary Candidates contesting and he will not stop campaigning for the party and Akua Donkor. He also said he will devoid of the directives by the Electoral Commission go ahead to vote for Akua Donkor.
According to him, his vote for his former boss is an indication of respect towards her legacy and what she lived for. He urged Ghanaians who loved Akua Donkor to remember her legacies and show their last respect towards her by voting for the GFP Parliamentary Candidates in their constituencies.
