The Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Mahama has said he would not snitch on Ghana’s neighbour to any foreign power.
President Akufo-Addo speaking alongside United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken alleged that Burkina Faso had offered Wagner a mine as payment for mercenaries.
President Akufo Addo stated, “Today, Russian mercenaries are on our northern border. Burkina Faso has now entered an arrangement to go along with Mali in employing the Wagner forces there”.
John Mahama speaking to Ghanaians yesterday evening, October 31, 2024, about how the NDC intends to reset Ghana, stated, “To foster good neighborliness, I will reinforce cordial and mutually supportive relations with our immediate neighbors, I will engage with strategic initiatives to facilitate the reintegration of Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger back into the ECOWAS and I will not snitch on our neighbors to any foreign power”.
The former president further added, “Ghana’s hosting of the Africa Continental Free Trade Secretariat must be leveraged to reset and accelerate our social economic growth and pivot Ghana as Africa’s transport and investment hub, which includes Ghana becoming a pharmaceutical manufacturing hub”.
