The Presidential Candidate for the NDC, John Dramani Mahama has denied rumors by the NPP that when he is voted into power, he will sack newly recruited security officers with specification to the Police Service.
Addressing a crowd at Sekondi, the former President stressed that, he will not sack newly recruits when he comes into power because they will add up unemployed rate which will rather become a big burden on his government. He mentioned that, all such comments by the NPP should be disregarded and rather vote the NPP out of office.
According to him the NPP are spreading such propaganda because they are scared there will be a repeat of what they did to newly recruited Security personnel when they came to power in 2017. He shared that, before the NDC left power in 2017, they had recruited a number of Military and Police Officers but the NPP government sacked them. He assured that he with his government will not repeat the sins of the NPP.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Communications Director for the NDC, Malik Basintale has promised the people of Bongo that the party will allocate 400 slots for the youth to enter the security Service when the NDC wins the election.
