Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has promised Ghanaian businesses he will force Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to honour his flat rate tax policy.

In his quest to support Ghanaian businesses, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has said he would be introducing a flat-rate tax system in Ghana, like Estonia’s model. He explained that this initiative will simplify tax administration by providing taxpayers with visibility into their tax obligations.

Kennedy Agyapong a member of the Dr. Bawumia team at an engagement with Ghanaians said, “I know it is money that we spend, if l look at duties on goods and I am going to take goods from the port about 22 duties are on them, I am also bleeding that is why Dr. Bawumia is promising a flat tax, I am also a business man and I know what is going on so I am always going to speak in his ears to fulfil his flat tax promise”.
