In a interview with Joy Sports, the former Chealsea and Real Madrid star stated he never plan to go into coaching after his retirement from football.
“I took this decision to go into coaching because I didn’t want to be one of these ex-players who finish their careers, go home, and start thinking about what they want to do, only to get into depression”. He stated.
The 41-year-old former holding midfielder holds a UEFA License A coaching certificate and has been working as an individual player coach with Danish club FC Nordsjaelland since 2020.
