Ras Deportee one of the Democracy Hub protesters who were arrested has revealed he was arrested at Vienna city in circle.
According to Ras Deportee on the day of the arrest, he was not arrested on protest grounds but inside Vienna city.
He said, “We were sitting inside Vienna city, having a conversation, and all of a sudden before we realized around 2 in the afternoon 2 pm, we were inside the club. We were sitting at the place that looked like VIP on your left we were sitting inside there”.
“Some people were having their drinks, some of us having water, and all of a sudden, they came inside unannounced and then they entered, Imagine bro I am telling you. They entered and they didn’t know where we were, they were looking through before they saw us. There were about seven of us in number, he added.
Ras Deportee further revealed they wondered why they were being arrested, “We sat down quietly so we wondered how come. When they entered nobody told us anything, they arrested us and we asked what our offense was, they took us to the police depot, and we spent about 7 hours there”.
He further revealed that the Ghana Police Service brought four different cars with one big bus and almost 25 or 30 policemen and none of us were armed and they arrested us.
