Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip and MP for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, has responded strongly to allegations made by Minority Chief Whip, Kwame Governs Agbodza, suggesting that Annoh-Dompreh sneaked into the Parliamentary Chamber ahead of the official opening time.
“I was a whip before he became a whip; there are lessons I need to teach him. He should humble himself and learn,” Annoh-Dompreh stated, addressing Agbodza’s claims that he had gained unauthorized access to the Chamber before the scheduled opening at 8:00 am on October 22.
Agbodza’s comments, was made on his Facebook post, implied that Annoh-Dompreh violated Parliamentary protocol by entering the Chamber early with the help of security personnel. He referenced a circular from Parliament that clearly outlined the Chamber’s opening time.
However, Annoh-Dompreh swiftly refuted these allegations, clarifying that he arrived early in line with his usual practice and entered through standard procedures.
He emphasized that his early presence was part of fulfilling his duties as a whip, not an act of misconduct.
