Speaking in an interview with Joy FM Super Morning Show, Prof. Ransford Gyampo was reacting to allegations level at him and some members of the Organised Labour for being partisan.
He said, “Yes, we supported Akufo-Addo, I drove from here to my hometown to go and vote for Akufo-Addo in 2016 and 2020. But if things are not going right, should we all keep quiet because we voted for him? I’m not that kind of person”.
“So, we speak against them now, if another government comes and they are doing the same thing, we will speak against them, so I don’t care, when NPP was in opposition I was tagged as NPP, they got into power they say I am NDC no problem, NDC too they are human beings”. Gyampo reiterated.
Professor Ransford Gyampo added, “I don’t do partisan politics, I don’t care about the NDC, and I don’t care about the NPP, I care about Ghana and so if things are wrong…, that’s why some of my friends in the NPP, sometimes I don’t understand them. Some of them are politically mad. But I’m not a mad person”.
“It is so insulting for people who are overly partisan to suggest that those of us doing this are doing so because partisanship.”
