Professor Ransford Gyampo, a Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana has revealed that he has forgiven the NPP national youth organizer Salam Mustapha.
According to Ransford Gyampo, Salam Mustapha made wild and baseless allegations towards him, which he apologized and retracted for.
Speaking on TV3’s The Key Points show, Prof. Gyampo stated, “The NPP national youth organizer issuing a press statement, making some wild allegations against me, insinuating that I Ransford Gyampo am so powerful enough to be able to rally the entire populace of the University professors, some of whom taught me to follow me to go and do the bidding of the NDC and to use our University strike as a decoy so that students cannot come to school and will not vote”.
“And then he made other baseless allegations against me when I heard this, my lawyers have always told me that I should not be thinking of suing men of straw, but I realized this guy had something. I was so determined and so fired but I didn’t know such people you had to give them the chance to retract and apologize” he added.
He further revealed that his lawyer is Gary Nimako who is an NPP lawyer who begged him he was conflicted on the matter, so he had to look for another lawyer.
Professor added, “he chose to render an apology in line with the demands of my Lawyer, my lawyer forwarded it to me I have a lot of people who insisted that regardless of the apology we should still go to court, but then also I am a Christian, and the Christ that I followed was more defamed than me so I had to, as a Christian, I decided to choose the path forgiveness over vengeance, I have forgiven him, but I am hoping that no one does so again”.
