Ghanaian dancehall king Shatta Wale revealed that he had 750,000 cedis in his bank account when he was 14.
According to Shatta Wale, his dad never wanted him to buy anything, and all that he needed was provided for him by his dad, so he was saving his chop money.
Speaking on the Rants and Bants podcast, Shatta Wale revealed that, “I started saving at the age of 14, I went to Prudential Bank at the age of 14 and told them I was 18, and my dad liked me, I grew up as a rich kid so to see dollars, pounds all dem currencies I was having it”.
“At age 14 I saved 750,000 cedis, because when my dad gives me chop money, he does not give me 20 cedis, sometimes he gives me like 500 dollars, sometimes it looks like 2000 cedis and I always have this save in my room, because my dad never wanted me to buy any cloth, no watches, jewelry, nothing everything was bought for me, my games everything”, he added.
He revealed that after saving enough he wanted to learn how to save in a Bank, so he drove at the age of 14 to the bank and the Bank manager noticed he was young, but he insisted he wanted to save in the bank.
Shatta Wale revealed that in his life now and then he was never faking because he was getting money and all the time, he bragged he was having money he was indeed loaded.
