The Chief Executive Officer of the Media Foundation for West Africa {MFWA}, Sulemana Braimah has reacted to comments made by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education on the 22,000 bags of expired rice.
According to the CEO of MFWA, he feels completely scandalized about what he heard from the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education Kwasi Kwarteng.
Sulemana Braimah noted that Kwasi Kwarteng asserted the fact the rice had expired but they had the expiry date extended.
He wrote on X, “I am listening to the Ministry of Education Spokesperson on the 1000s of expired rice that were supplied to our schools, I feel completely scandalised. He says yes, the rice got expired but they had the expiry date extended. Wowww. Our children fed expired rice”.
Hon. Ablakwa, through a parliamentary oversight, uncovered a grand callous, dangerous, murderous, and corrupt scheme that puts the health of Senior High School students in extreme jeopardy.
He revealed that a crony company was allowed to criminally re-package over 22,000 50kg bags of expired and contaminated rice into different 50kg bags without expiry dates under the full protection of NPP political heavyweights.
Meanwhile, Okudzeto Ablakwa has now also fingered the Ministry of Education as being complicit in the supply of 22,000 expired 50kg of rice to feed Free SHS students after their spokesperson denied knowledge of the situation.
