Cristiano Ronaldo has dispelled the notion of him potentially venturing into coaching after retirement.
The 39-year-old who has also been successful off the pitch hinted his interests lie in areas outside of football.
Speaking to the press after Portugal beat Poland 5:1 to secure a slot in the Nation’s League quarterfinals, Ronaldo said, “I don’t see myself managing a team; that’s not in my plans. My future lies in other areas outside of football, although time will tell what happens.”
The victory over Poland marked Ronaldo’s 132nd win in internationals, resulting in a new record for most international wins in men’s football.
Portugal will take on Croatia in their final Nations League group game on Monday, though Ronaldo was released from the squad early and will return to Al Nassr.
