Political Science lecturer at the University of Ghana, Prof. Ransford Gyampo has said he does not care about the NPP or the NDC but cares about Ghana.
Speaking in an interview with Joy FM Super Morning Show, Prof. Ransford Gyampo was reacting to claims that the Organised Labour is being partisan with their nationwide strike action.
Prof. Gyampo stated, “It is so insulting for people who are overly partisan to sound that some of us are doing these things because of partisan politics, You Raymond, I taught you, did you see me in the lecture hall as doing partisan politics?”
“I don’t do partisan politics, I don’t care about the NDC, and I don’t care about the NPP, I care about Ghana and so if things are wrong…, that’s why some of my friends in the NPP, sometimes I don’t understand them. Some of them are politically mad. But I’m not a mad person”, He added.
The Political Science lecturer also revealed that he supported Akufo-Addo, by voting for him in 2016 and 2020, but if things are not going well, he cannot be quiet because he voted for him.
Prof. Gyampo reiterated saying, “So, we speak against them now, if another government comes and they are doing the same thing, we will speak against them, so I don’t care, when NPP was in opposition I was tagged as NPP, they got into power they say I am NDC no problem, NDC too they are human beings”.
He ended by saying he wants to do what is right and speaks his mind to ensure that the right things are done.
“It is so insulting for people who are overly partisan to suggest that those of us doing this are doing so because partisanship.”
