Managing editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr has stated that he cannot take a hand of friendship dripping with his blood.
According to Kwesi Pratt Jnr, Afenyo Markin is calling for cool heads after the Supreme Court ruling but yesterday, there was a circulation of Speaker Bagin’s medical expenses paid by the states to the public which he noted is the hand dripping with blood.
Speaking on Good Morning Ghanan, Kwesi Pratt Jnr said, “There are some statements of fact, Judicial decisions do not necessarily resolve conflicts I hope you are aware of that, because if Judicial decisions necessary resolve conflicts 30 people would not have died in Bawku, over the last week, so beyond judicial decisions lie other things that opt to be done in other to give effect to judicial decisions”.
“I will be very careful about taking a hand of friendship dripping with my blood. You are in a fight your opponent now says I am extending a hand of friendship, and your blood is all over his hand,” he added.
Kwesi Pratt was reacting to Afenyo-Markin’s call for cool heads after the Supreme Court ruling on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, overturning Speaker Bagbin’s declaration on the four vacant seats in parliament by a 5-2 majority decision.
