Ghanaian movie actor, Kofi Adu, widely known as Agya Koo, says there is no actor or actress in the Ghanaian movie industry who can match up to him in talent.
“The Ghanaian movie industry has never seen an actor of my caliber. I am bigger than all the actors and actresses they have now,” he stated.
Agya Koo revealed that directors in the industry purposely planned to blacklist him because he refused to record a nude scene.
According to him, he was cast as the famous Okomfo Anokye in a movie, and this was what caused the movie directors to blacklist him. .
“I am saying this. It was because of one movie that I was boycotted. It was a Okomfo Anokye movie and I was supposed to bath a river. Yes, the history is there and he (Okomfo Anokye) bathed in the river. But when he was bathing in the river there was no camera filming him. But the director wanted me to go naked in front of the all the cast and crew and I refused,” he stated.
Agya Koo in the early 2000s was a household name in the Ghanaian movie scene, with him being featured in every movie. He made a name for himself and earned a lot of respect amongst Ghanaians.
However, he disappeared abruptly from the movie scene which left many Ghanaians wondering.
