Broadcast Journalist and the host of Johnnie’s Bite on 3FM, Johnnie Beresford Hughes has bitten President Akufo-Addo for honoring himself with a statue.
According to Johnnie Hughes, the president if he had the opportunity to canonize himself would call himself a Saint Akufo-Addo.
Speaking on his program Johnnie’s Bite on 3FM, he said, “When the President had the opportunity, he immortalized himself, he immortalized himself by having a statue, the same thing happened at EOCO, our president immortalized himself in the western region”.
“They put a statue up there and he immortalized himself, when J. A Kufuor gave himself the gold chain people complained, he gave himself the award elder of whatever, people complained, and he said give me an opportunity let me serve you differently”, he added.
Johnnie Hughes further added, “Now before the man leaves, he is immortalizing himself, he would not wait for people to do the statue for him, he is unveiling his own statue, he is endorsing his own self and immortalizing himself”.
“I am sure if he had the opportunity to canonize himself, he would have called himself Saint Akufo-Addo”, Johnnie reiterated.
