A netizen has fired some serious questions at the Electricity Company of Ghana.
According to the social media user on X, none of the streetlights in Accra are working despite consumers paying the Electricity Company of Ghana a 3 percent levy whenever they pay their electricity bills.
In a post on X accompanied by some images of darkness in the streets of Accra, the social media user further lamented that the darkness on the streets of Accra leads to people dying from accidents every day and asked the ECG how many people need to die before the streetlights are fixed.
His full post read, “None of the streetlights in Accra works. People are dying from accidents every day because of Accra is dark, no streetlights! meanwhile 3% levy is paid by consumers of ECG to service these streetlights. How many people should die before these lights are fixed?! @ECGghOfficial”.
