The member of parliament for North Tongu Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has stated the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) erred and let Ghanaians down in Rev. Kusi Boateng’s double identity probe.
The report by CHRAJ revealed that contrary to allegations that Rev. Kusi Boateng, known as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, holds two different passports, each bearing one of his names is untrue.
According to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, CHRAJ failed to give details on how an individual can be appointed to the board of trustees of the National Cathedral as Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, born on 7th September 1971 but issued a diplomatic passport to perform his official duties in another name, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi with a different date of birth as 30th December 1969.
Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa further wrote on X, “CHRAJ failed to work with the evidence from the Ghana Revenue Authority which I duly presented in my complaint confirming that Victor Kusi Boateng and Kwabena Adu Gyamfi are two distinct identities in its database. GRA also confirmed the different dates of birth, different TINs, and different mothers”.
“CHRAJ failed to assess the database of the DVLA which confirms that Victor Kusi Boateng was issued a driver’s license in the name Victor Kusi Boateng”, his write-up added.
The MP further reiterated that CHRAJ did not assess the database of the NIA which confirms that Kusi Boateng Ghana card was issued in the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.
He emphasized that CHRAJ also failed to take into consideration the judgment from the High Court when Victor Kusi Boateng/Kwabena Adu Gyamfi lost his case against him, with the High Court judge stating his conduct borders on criminality.
Ablakwa echoed, “In any case, how does CHRAJ’s claim that Victor Kusi Boateng possesses one passport in a different name (Kwabena Adu Gyamfi) whose date of birth is different from his Victor Kusi Boateng date of birth clear the double identity champion? Desperate propagandists must respect the intelligence of Ghanaians”.
