National Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has asserted that Member of Parliament (MP)
for Awutu Senya East and Minister for Special Development Initiatives, Mavis Hawa Koomson will face the full force of the law when the NDC assumes office in 2025.
According to Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC Presidential Candidate will introduce Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL), an initiative which will ensure the prosecution of corrupt government officials, and the reclamation of all money/assets acquired through corrupt means.
“From 2025 when you hear we have announced the ballots and 7th January we swear in John Mahama, that woman who cannot speak English will be very busy. You know why she will be busy? She will be busy in the police station and courts. Listen to me well, she will be busy because John Mahama is bringing an initiative called ORAL, which means Operation Recover All Loot. That means every Ghanaian who has earned money through corrupt means, Mahama will get back our monies for us,” he stated.
Sammy Gyamfi indicated that Hawa Koomson misappropriated funds meant for the One Village One Dam policy for the people up north. He indicated that dams dug under Hawa Koomson’s watch were not even knee high, leading to them drying up quickly in the dry season.
“That commando woman who doesn’t understand English, they gave her a post, she was in charge of the One Village One Dam policy … they just dig the ground and the dam is not even up to knee length and they say they have made a dam. The cathedral swimming pool is better than the dam,” he added.
Sammy Gyamfi indicated that Hawa Koomson spent “5 billion for one dam and she has taken money for a hundred of them.”
He urged the audience present to vote for the NDC’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama and the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for Awutu Senya East, Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor, at the December 7 polls.
