Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia announced that government plans to employ 70,000 nurses as part of the AGENDA 111 initiative to improve healthcare delivery in Ghana.
He made this announcement during his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, aims to galvanize grassroots supporters and build momentum ahead of the upcoming elections.
This extensive outreach reflects the NPP’s commitment to strengthening its base in the Ashanti Region.
During the tour, Dr. Bawumia will engage with local party officials, community leaders, and residents, addressing key issues and sharing his vision for Ghana’s future.
Continuing, Dr. Bawumia stated that the NPP, in particular, appreciate the significant contributions of nurses in the provision of healthcare to the citizenry.
Bawumia assured that the next NPP administration would implement new policies to help make life better and more comfortable for nurses in the country.
“The NPP recognizes and appreciates the key roles that our nurses play in the provision of healthcare to the people, so we shall also make sure that your lives will be better.
“As I said already, there will be free importation of vehicles with engines less than 1.8 capacity for our dear nurses among other important interventions to make you (nurses) live better and comfortably”, he stated.
