The sad reality of Ghana’s health sector keeps on getting worse day in and day out.
The most recent of a sad and embarrassing scene to rock the Ghana Ambulance Service was when an ambulance arrived at an emergency scene, but could not rush victims to the hospital because there was no fuel in the ambulance.
From the video circulating on X, there was an accident between a vehicle carrying tomatoes and another car which resulted in some injuries.
The ambulance with registration number GV-640-20 arrived at the scene to salvage the situation. After treating victims to first aid, the ambulance could not rush the others to the hospital as the ambulance had no fuel for the return journey.
Residents had to resolve to contributing some money for the staff of the ambulance service to buy fuel and rush the victims to the hospital.
