AmaZulu is set to sign Ghanaian goalkeeper Richard Of⁹ori on a free transfer.
The 30-year old, was released by Orlando Pirates at the end of the 2023/24 season, and brings significant experience to AmaZulu’s goalkeeping department.
The goalkeeper will undergo medicals in Durban before finalising his move, marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career in South African football.
He previously played for both Maritzburg United and Pirates, where he won three MTN8 trophies and two Nedbank Cups, becoming a key figure in the league.
His arrival at AmaZulu will provide valuable competition for the number one spot, with Ofori expected to challenge Bafana Bafana’s Veli Mothwa, as well as Olwethu Mzimela and Andile Mbajwa.
This move adds depth to the squad as the team looks to strengthen for the upcoming 2024-25 season.
