The Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram, Sam George has revealed that Ghana’s cocaine industry is galamsey.
Hon. Sam George taking to social media platform X, stated, “Galamsey is Ghana’s drug trade. It is to Ghana what cocaine is to Colombia. There are cartels involved. These cartels have politicians, chiefs and security personnel involved. Our government is complicit and would not do anything about it”.
The MP further stated on X that President Akufo-Addo bares the ultimate responsibility to stop the galamsey menace, “He has the power to arrest and deal decisively with everyone involved. I don’t care what party they belong to; they are wicked criminals. Deal with them”.
Sam George in his statement on X also accused President Akufo-Addo of being complicit and a beneficiary of illegal mining in the country.
He also encouraged Ghanaians to be honest and brutally frank with the truth to deal with the canker.
