Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Oxlade, has disclosed that despite his nationality as a Nigerian, Ghanaians have shown him more love and support than his country.
In a recent interview with Nigerian radio personality, Charity Owoh on ‘Chatwithchacha’ he said, “If I’m being honest, Ghana has shown me more love than Nigeria”.
According to him, some Nigerians do not appreciate him and they try to undermine his talent.
“I hate the mindset of people trying to play god, thinking they can determine your success. Some even feel offended if they think I don’t greet them properly when we meet”he said.
He proceeded to disclose his plans to feature Ghanaian hip-hop legend, Sarkodie on his debut album dubbed, ‘Oxlade from Africa’.
Oxlade emphasized that the collaboration with Sarkodie is his way of showing appreciation to Ghanaians for the love and support shown him.
