The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has come under intense fire following a post they made celebrating disgraced former President of the GFA, Kwesi Nyantakyi.
The former GFA boss was removed from office and brought immense disgrace to Ghanaian football after charged of fraud and corruption were brought against him.
These charges stem from offences captured in the Number 12 documentary by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas. The documentary allegedly shows Nyantakyi collecting cash and gifts and engaging in influence peddling.
Although he is no more GFA president, it is claimed that he still has a hold on the football body.
27th October, 2024 marked the birthday of Kwesi Nyantakyi and the GFA shared an artwork on their official X page, wishing Kwesi Nyantakyi a happy birthday.
However, an X user, @ghanamunsemsem_ would not take this said, “In any civilized society, the FA would have distant itself very far away from this man. But here in Ghana, we have no values.”
