Kwame Jantuah has described it as unfortunate for the three arms of government to be disregarding the will of the people entrusted into their hands.
“It is the constitution that governs. It is very unfortunate, very very unfortunate that, Parliament, the judiciary and the Presidency are disregarding the will of the people”, he said.
He said all members in Parliament were voted for the people to represent them there and make laws to protect their will and if they have a feeling of not being able to handle the will of the people that have been entrusted into their hands, they should exit the chamber.
“The people of Ghana voted for this Parliament to be like this. If you feel you have been voted to come into Parliament and you can’t handle the will of the people, get out”, he added.
According to him, the suspension of Parliament twice within the span of two weeks meant that, the people of Ghana are not being considered and thought of by the Parliamentarians. He said if the people of Ghana were being thought of, members would have gone behind closed doors to find solutions after the first suspension but they did not.
“If the people of Ghana were thought of they would go behind closed doors and find a solution so that when Parliament was called a second time, we would not go through what we have gone through and then suspend Parliament indefinitely”, he said.
