The protestors of #FreeTheCitizen has petitioned the Office of the Attorney General to file a Nolle Prosequi for the release of the 53 remanded democracy hub protestors.

hundreds of concerned Ghanaian Youth stormed the principal streets of Accra today to demand the release of the 53 remanded democracy hub protesters in a demonstration dubbed #Free the Citizens.

The 3-day protest which is also demanding an end to illegal mining activities in the country begun in the early hours of this morning at Okponglo where the concerned citizens draped in red and black attire and carrying placards marched through shiashie, towards the Association International School to Kawukudi Junction and to the Accra Sports Stadium while venting their frustration over government’s failure to clamp down on the menace.
