Anthony Evans Amoah a former member of parliament has died.
According to reports the former member of parliament for the Mpohor Constituency died after battling a short illness.
Anthony Evans Amoah before entering politics was a seasoned Ghanaian politician and journalist who made significant contributions to his country’s development.
He was born on April 8, 1952, in Mpohor, Western Region, Ghana. He holds a Master of Philosophy in Sociology (1995) and a Master of Business Administration (2000) from the University of Ghana.
Anthony Evans Amoah worked as a journalist and advertiser. He also worked with the Graphic Communications Group Limited as a Human Resource Manager.
The late MP was elected to parliament on the ticket of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2004 and 2008 general elections.
The late Amoah also served as the Western Regional Minister under President John Kufuor’s administration until 2008.
He was a devoted Christian and a member of the Pentecost Church.
The late Anthony Evans Amoah left behind five children.
