Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandez has received intense criticism from an ex-player of the club.
Neil Ruddock has described Bruno Fernandez’s performance this season as a “flop”.
“The one player I would seriously like to mention is Bruno Fernandes. I could have picked any of his teammates from Manchester United for my flop of the season so far, but I’m going to go with the captain.”
I don’t like him. He’s annoying. He annoys me. He’s always moaning, chucking his hands up in the air and then, you know, everything. Nothing’s ever his fault. He doesn’t behave like a captain. He’s not following in the footsteps of Manchester United captains with the way he wears the armband. Behave yourself and get on with it, Bruno,” he told 10bet.
Bruno Fernandes has five goal contributions in 12 Premier League matches so far in 2024-25 season and will be tasked with leading his side through their transition under Amorim.
Although the player may not be in the top of form, he is known to create chances and be the hope of the club when the need arises.
Ruben Amorim recently took charge of United as the club’s head coach. Since taking over, he has taken the team to just a single game which was against Ipswich Town, ending in a 1-1 draw.
Amorim is yet to record his first win for the club, and is hopeful to do so in his second game as coach in United’s home game against Bodo/Glimt.
