UK based research firm, Fitch solutions senior analyst for sub-saharan Africa, Mark Kruiniger have reiterated its earlier position on the outcome of the December 7 general elections which suggest that the former president and 2024 flag bearer of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama will emerge as the winner of this year’s election in their report released on November 6, 2024.
According to the report, the economy will play a major role in Mahama’s victory as many Ghanaians are unhappy with the performance of the ruling government.
The report also says the NPP’s track record does not permit their retaining.
Mr. Kruiniger emphasised its anticipation of policy continuity prevailing in the Sub-Saharan Africa region, with most incumbents expected to secure victories and retain their majorities.
