Financial analyst and economist Scott Bolshevik has fingered the late former president Jerry John Rawlings in Ghana’s decline in industrialization.
According to Scott Bolshevik, the late ex-president Rawlings’s administration saw a decline in industrialization with him selling over 15 firms, like the Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, Ghana Breweries Limited, Tema Food Complex, and others.
Scott Bolshevik, well known for his constant commentary on issues relating to Ghana on X, particularly on the economy, on his X page and wrote, “Rawlings remains a key figure in GHANA’s decline in industrialization. He sold over 15 firms Ashanti Goldfields Corporation, and Ghana Breweries Limited. Tema Food Complex, Black Star Line, Ghana National Trading Corp, Ghana Industrial Holding Corp, Distilleries. He betrayed posterity”.
Jerry John Rawlings was a Ghanaian military officer and politician who led the country from 1981 to 2001 and for a brief period in 1979.
He passed away at age 73 on November 12, 2020, at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
