Yaw Eric, a fetish priest has been arrested for killing his 14 year old son at Jacobu in the Ashanti Region.
The fetish Priest who has two wives all living in the same house had a misunderstanding with his first wife, who threatened to leave the marriage.
According to reports the priest has been troubled since and has turned to alcohol for comfort.
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024 another misunderstanding ensued between the priest and his first wife, at a point he went into his room and brought out a gun threatening to kill her.
One of his children attempted to restrain him by placing his hand on the nozzle but the priest pulled the trigger and decapitated the boy’s hand.
His 14 year old son upon hearing the sound of the gunshot rushed to the scene only for his father to also point the gun at him and shot him aswell.
Reports indicate that the fetish priest fled after killing his son and causing harm to his other child.
He allegedly sought refuge with a fellow priest who reported him to the police after he narrated the incident to him.
The police in Jacobu arrested Yaw Eric who is now assisting with investigation.
The surviving child is in admission at St. Peter’s Hospital in Jacobu.
