Presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged voters in Asunafo South to abandon the common practice of “skirt-and-blouse” voting, where different parties receive support at the presidential and parliamentary levels.
He encouraged the constituents to show unified support by voting for the NPP in both the presidential and parliamentary elections.
During a campaign tour in Sankore on Thursday October 31, Dr. Bawumia highlighted the significance of voting for Francis Aduse Opoku, the NPP’s parliamentary candidate, emphasizing that his role would be essential in his administration if elected.
He noted his commitment to improving the lives of the people, pointing out that while Asunafo South voters often support the NPP in presidential elections, they tend to withhold support in parliamentary races.
He called for a shift in 2024, asking them to support the NPP on both presidential and parliamentary ballots.
He appealed to Sankore residents, encouraging them not to let the party down this election year.
He expressed his desire for the people of Sankore to shift voting patterns by backing Adusei, whom he hopes to include in his administration, and he reminded them of the NPP’s position as number 1 on the ballot.
