The son of Archbishop Salifu Amoako, Elrad Amoako has been remanded again.
The 16-year-old appeared before the Accra Juvenile Court on November 7, 2024, and he is to reappear in court on November 13.
His passport has been seized to prevent travel, and he faces charges including manslaughter, negligently causing harm, dangerous driving, and driving without a valid license.
Meanwhile, there is a back-and-forth between a social worker and the Ghana Police Service, according to the police, Elrad was in custody at the Osu Correctional Centre, but Mr. Amoah a social worker has challenged that stating that Bishop Salifu’s son Elrad is not at the Osu Correctional Centre.
The Ghana Police Service in a statement has labeled these claims as false and warned that publishing such misinformation violates the law under Section 208 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
