Venessa Edotom Boateng, a broadcast Journalist, has alleged that parents of Senior High School students are now paying for food in schools.
The Metro TV broadcaster revealed on X, accompanied with messages alleged to be from an SHS in Ghana asking a parent to come and pay his or her outstanding contribution of GHC600.
She further questioned why parents are paying money for food in schools and their wards are still being fed with expired food by the government.

Hon. Ablakwa, through a parliamentary oversight, uncovered a grand callous, dangerous, murderous, and corrupt scheme that puts the health of Senior High School students in extreme jeopardy.
He revealed that a crony company was allowed to criminally re-package over 22,000 50kg bags of expired and contaminated rice into different 50kg bags without expiry dates under the full protection of NPP political heavyweights.
Meanwhile, in a statement to the press on Monday, November 18, Ablakwa, speaking on behalf of the Minority in Parliament, demanded the immediate arrest and prosecution of the directors of Lamens Investments. He also called for sanctions against the National Food Buffet Stock leadership.
