A leading member for Movement for Change Hopeson Adorye, has alleged that former ECG boss Samuel Dubik Mahama was under immense pressure to fund NPP campaign leading to his resignation.
Speaking on TV XYZ, Hopeson Adorye stated saying, “Samuel Dubik Mahama was under immense pressure from the NPP, not just to manage the debts owed to contractors, but also to make certain financial commitments for the party’s campaign,” Adorye disclosed. He further elaborated that these demands were unrealistic, given the growing financial strain within the ECG, largely due to unpaid debts to contractors.
Hopeson Adorye also stated the governments incompetence is to blame for the increase in traffic, “They created the debt and expected Mahama to clean it up while meeting their unreasonable financial expectations,” he reiterated.
Samuel Dubik Mahama, Managing Director (MD) of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), officially resigned but refused to give his reason for resignation in a letter sent to the Board of ECG.
