The Electoral Commission (EC) has disqualified Bernard Mornarh of the People’s National Convention (PNC) from contesting in the 2024 elections.
In a statement released on Friday, September 20, 2024, the EC stated the disqualification following a thorough examination of the candidates’ Nomination Forms, which were filed between September 9 and September 13, 2024.
A review was conducted to ensure that all legal requirements were met.

Twenty-four candidates filed their nominations.

- Kofi Akpaloo – Liberal Party of Ghana
- Mohammed Frimpong – National Democratic Party
- Nana Akosua Frimpomaa – Convention People’s Party
