The Electoral Commission has disqualified Joana Gyan Cudjoe from contesting in the 2024 Parliamentary elections.

This decision follows a High Court Order for Interlocutory Injunction dated May 31, 2024, in the case Gyedu Frimpong & 4 Others v. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the National Democratic Congress, & the Electoral Commission (Suit No. E12/36/24). T
The Order states that until the final determination of the matter, the affected parties are restrained from:
- a) The 1st Defendant/Respondent holding herself out as the duly elected NDC Parliamentary candidate for the Amenfi Central Constituency
2. b) The 2nd and 3rd Defendants/Respondents, their agents and officers, from recognizing or affording any rights or privileges to the 1st Defendant/Respondent.
