A driver in the New Juaben South constituency in Koforidua, has lamented about the poor economic conditions in the country.
He says the existing economic condition in Ghana has made it close to impossible for one to survive in the country.
According to him, works hard as a driver but ends up using all the money he makes to buy fuel. “Boss I work but it is bad (economic woes). I load from here (Koforidua) to Accra and I am given Ghc500. Out of that Ghc500, you pay booking fee.
Previously I used to buy fuel worth Ghc200 for a round trip (Koforidua to Accra and back), but now, I buy fuel worth Ghc450 for an Accra to Koforidua trip,” he stated.
After making sales of Ghc500 the driver claims he is left with just Ghc50, which he struggles to make ends meet with.
The driver also complained about the bad roads in the constituency, saying the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Michael Okyere Baafi.
