Former Minority leader and Member of parliament for Tamale South, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has said Dr. Bawumia thought arresting the US dollar was as easy as stopping trotro.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on TV3 Hot Issues, the MP stated, “Dr Mahamudu Bawumia argued on platforms as cheap as easy as it was, I will arrest the depreciation of the cedi, he thought that arresting the cedis was like stopping a trotro”.
“Today you have the cedi, which was 4 cedis now at 16 cedis, what does means to the cost of doing business, what does means for the cost of living is one of a rejection of a failed government”, Haruna Iddrisu reiterated.
The MP further stated that cost of living has ballooned, and many Ghanaians and businesses are struggling with a high cost of doing business.
Haruna Iddrisu also hinted that he has picked up an intel government is maneuvering to sell the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
