Despite all negative prophecies surrounding the New Patriotic Party(NPP), chances of winning the 2024 general elections, gospel artiste, Diana Asamoah has voiced her belief in the party’s ability to win.

Her comments follow the recent prophecies from some men of God, including Rev. Owusu-Bempah, who recently prayed for NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama during a meeting with the clergy on October 1, 2024.

Speaking at an NPP campaign rally in the Ashanti Region on October 5, 2024, she pointed to the government’s notable achievements, such as the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, as reasons for their expected victory.

“In 2 Kings 2:1-7, Isaiah prophesied that Hezekiah would die, but Hezekiah prayed, and God reversed it because of his service to Him. Likewise, the NPP government, including Akufo-Addo, Bawumia, and NAPO, will not accept defeat. Our good works, like the Free SHS, will ensure that any doom prophecy against us will not stand—we will win the 2024 elections,”

She referenced the story of King Hezekiah from the Bible, who was told by Prophet Isaiah that he would die, but through prayer and faith, his fate was reversed, and God granted him 15 more years of life.

During the prayer, Owusu-Bempah prophesied that Mahama’s kind heart would win him favour with God, leading to his return to the presidency.

This prophecy has sparked various debates on social media, with many expressing surprise, given Owusu-Bempah’s strong support to the NPP.

“Don’t accept any false prophecy, don’t listen to any of these false prophecies you hear from these men of God. All we know is that we shall emerge victorious” she said to the people at the rally.
