A Ghanaian trader has fired critics of the Free SHS policy under the NPP government.
The Ghanaian traders asserted that, do the critics of Akufo-Addo’s Free SHS policy want him to buy brooms, mattresses, and other items for them after paying their wards fees.
Speaking to the media, the Ghanaian trader detailed, “Even if they have not done anything for me, I feel that it is better than the past, they (NPP) have done some for me, I remember in 2008 or 2009, my child went to SHS at Kumasi Girls.
“That time was Atta Mills time, my child had a trunk we bought things more than 40 million when we got to the school, they said until we buy cement and pay for cutlass, we should not bring our stuff down. That was in Kumasi Girls, that is where my child went to school”, he detailed.
The trader further added, “When we got there, we bought cutlasses, and cement, before we placed our stuff down, today Nana Addo said buy foam and a mattress, can you imagine if you have 10 kids and you are feeding them, just buy a mattress, and someone will give your child food, that person should pay school fees, and also buy foam, broom for you”.
“The Free SHS has helped me, my sister didn’t have but about 8 of them have gone through Free SHS and they are done”, she reiterated.
