More than one week ago, American rapper, Diddy Combs, 54 years old was placed on routine suicide watch, which is common practice for high-profile individuals as they are admitted to a federal facility and not indicative of his mental state.
Authorities arrested Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to sources, the singer has been taken off the extra surveillance and is now able to receive visits from his family members.
During his court appearance, prosecutors accused the rapper of operating a criminal enterprise since at least 2008, using drugs and violence to allegedly compel women to “fulfill his sexual desires.”
Diddy’s legal team submitted a $50 million bail offer to the federal court, proposing his $48 million mansion on Miami’s Star Island as collateral, along with his mother’s property to cover the remaining $2 million.
However, the court denied his bail request, citing him as a flight risk. Diddy’s team also requested house arrest with a condition of “no female visitors,” but the judge rejected that proposal as well.
Notably, if convicted on all three charges, the rapper and record producer could face a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in prison.
